A quick lunch at Marina Jaks. It was a bit tricky to find, but was worth it. Chris has beer battered fish and chips and I had the homemade burger and chips. Generous portions and food was very tasty - especially the chips !! Music was a bit dodgy though..although it did calm down a little near the end of the meal.

Finally got a chance to score Comme Ca - the first restaurant from the good food guide that we tried (many years ago now). A fantastic day, so started off with a drink in the lovely garden. Both had the set lunch - Chrissie had Goats cheese and advacado salad, followed by confit duck and I had smoked chicken and duck salad, followed by venison. Both had rhubarb tart with home made ginger ice cream - yum, yum !

£70.00 for lunch including 2 drinks and service.

Great setting on St.Ives beach - window seat again !! Highlight was John's Ling with new potatoes and coriander sauce. Started and dessert not as impressive as main courses.

Very small menu for lunch. Fantastic location - sat in the window overlooking the bay in the sunshine. Good sandwiches with nice fresh bread.

Both had the 3 course set lunch. Restaraunt is very small with only 14 seats. Highlight of the meal was the amuse bouche - asian style crispy sea bass - yum, yum !! Chrissie really enjoyed both of her fish course - Gurnard and Pollock. My pork and chorizo was very strongly flavoured - almost too much. The deserts were nicely presented.
£57.40 including 3 glasses of wine.

John's birthday treat ! Set lunch at £24.95 for 3 courses. Only 2 choices for each course, but able to substitute from a la carte menu (at extra cost).

Highlight was crispy deck legs, served with garlic mash, green beans and liver casserole. Also pudding - although not what we would normally have chosed - was fantastic. Raspberry sorbet, lemon rice pudding and rhubarb....yum yum !! Other puddings on the a la carte looked fantastic too.

Lunch £70 including drinks and service.

An unpromising facade, but pleasant interior. Great value lunch at £11.95 (although the menu had lots of spelling mistakes !). Nice meal of chicken and oriental salmon. Food let down by poor vegetables - very boring cauliflower, broccoli and reheated mangetout.

£31.80 for lunch including 2 glasses of wine.
